I have a question. Is Optimum Nutrition 'serious mass' a good supplement for gaining mass?

Written by Moez Aryan

I have a question. Is Optimum Nutrition 'serious mass' a good supplement for gaining mass? It provides 1250 Calories in one serving with a good amount of protein and carbs. Plz suggest.

I have this little discomfort in my right upper abdomen after using it. Constipation also occurs. I hope there is nothing to worry :(

Will probably only make you fat and bloated. Also, the ratios of the macro nutrients mixed in those aren't based on your body weight. Stick to pure whey protein isolate. I mix and blend two scoops of whey protein isolate, two scoops of oats and a table spoon of olive oil as pre-workout shake and do the same as post workout. Moreover, those mass gainers are just full of simple carbs (sugar). Avoid sugar and any product that contains it. Read full labels and look for "carbs" and see how much of it is coming from 'sugar'.

If you are putting anything more than about two pounds on per month with heavy weight training the rest of it is fat. If you are genetically gifted maybe you put a bit more but most of us aren't so even a pound is good. Keep taking your pictures every one or two weeks to have body fat in check. Gaining mass is marathon not a sprint. Do it right, consistent and for long.

I don't have my clients take those. It just makes them fatter and gassy.
